HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Oh, the chubs and the appetite addicted holiday. the one with the turkey, stuffing, honey glazed ham, yams and marshmallows, green bean casserole, pumpkin pie.

my mouth is watering already.

besides that, the most important part of this beautiful day is to truly be thankful for the things and especially people you are blessed with.

2 down, 3 to go.

i am 2/3 finished with the unbelievable stressful last couple of weeks before finals. i now have 2- 12 page essays down. one was a journal article, and i had to print out 35 pages. yeah. i know right.

but if you think about it, life is going to suck even more when i get my masters. like 300 page dissertations and such. actually, i don't want to think about it.

too much caffeine.

and blogging instead of writing an 11 page paper and studying for an exam on thursday.

AHHHHHH! (screaming inside as to not wake my roommates who have normal nocturnal habits)

he is my hero, and i am undoubtedly his daughter. we share the same personality (a bit bipolar) utterly forgiving, trusting, and impatient. we have a dry but intelligent sense of humor, and strive through the challenges that we face. he is the best dad and the best husband. he's rad, and i am proud to be his daughter.

the apocalypse in southern california

i got into cerritos on friday only to be greeted with soot, ash and a hot mess.

it really saddens me to know that Christmas is coming in a little more than a month. while we're worrying about gifts and trips, there are so many people that don't even have a home right now. i got a couple pictures of the fires from a distance on my way to work on Saturday. it put a dampen at work, sales, and tips. :(

5 things i will NEVER wear

1. cropped sweater:
what exactly is the point of a mid drift sweater? is it to keep your arms and half back covered? or to show your assets, like a fabulously fit muffin top?


2. Velcro sandals:
is an explanation necessary?




3. true religion jeans:
i just don't like the obvious jean, with the extraordinarily large logo, or the ridiculously large stitching. is a status symbol really required to show off a sense of style?


4. pointy white knee length boots:
as awesome as pretty woman was, her pre richard gere saving / hooker chic ensembles provide me no inspiration whatsoever. these shoes are the epitome of hooker fashion. not so much.



5. scrunchies
fierce women do not wear scrunchies. period.

a historical turning point.

halloween 08- (picture heavy)

this year's costume was a toughy. the makeup took me two hours to do. i found a tutorial on youtube via "Misschevious". it definitely doesn't look as good as hers does, but i was pressed for time. the whole night at work, i kept getting things like,

guest: "hey are you a gypsy?!"
me: "no."
guest: "are you a gypsy with a goatee?"
me: "really? dude, i'm a doll, a ventriloquist doll. look at my mouth."
(does an awkward 'doll' pose and open and shuts mouth)
guest: "ohhh..."

i kept getting lipstick on my teeth because of the chomping movement i did all night. haha. good times.
